Dr. Chhabra is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Chief of the Musculoskeletal Imaging Division at UT Southwestern, and Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging at Parkland Health & Hospital System. He also serves as the Musculoskeletal radiology fellowship director.
He has been awarded with multiple academic laurels including GERRAF career development grant, SSR young investigator award, Tummula oration from Asian MSK society, and many certificates of merits. He serves as a committee member on several national and international societies, including the scientific review committees of the ARRS, AUR, ISS and SSR, Radiographics panel of RSNA as well as the publications committee of the ISMRM.
Dr Chhabra is frequently invited to lecture nationally and internationally at numerous conferences and venues, including the keynote address to the RSNA, ARRS, AMSIG, Ontario association of Radiologists, Chinese and Gulf MSK societies, and the Tummala Madhusudana Rao Endowment Oration to the Asian Musculoskeletal Society. He also regularly teaches international radiologists in India and China via the Internet. He has authored more than 250 publications, two textbooks and 28 book chapters and received multiple intramural and extramural grants. He also serves in the editorial boards of JFAS, BMC MSK disorders and European radiology.
