Dr. Bharti Khurana is the director of Emergency Musculoskeletal Radiology, founder and director of Trauma Imaging Research and Innovation Center at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. A passionate advocate for developing machine learning algorithms for injury detection, her clinical and research efforts involve imaging and interpretation of trauma, orthopaedic and spine trauma, intimate partner violence, whole-body CT for trauma, MRI optimization in ED, and education and career-building in the field of emergency radiology. Her work has received several prestigious awards from the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) including three Magna Cum Laude and five Cum Laude. She is a widely respected and beloved teacher and has been the three-time recipient of RSNA distinguished Honored Educator award. The Academy for Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Research has recognized her with an Imaging Innovator award. Author of popular COFFEE Emergency Radiology book, Dr. Khurana is also the course director for Emergency Radiology Harvard Medical School Continuing Medical Education program.
